Terms of service
Last updated 2026-10-26
1. The service
MrShipton ("the service") is a free, adaptive English grammar trainer for upper-secondary students and their teachers, run by Mickael at droopy.se. By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms.
2. Early version
The service is in an early stage and is being tested with teachers. Exercises, explanations and features may change, contain mistakes, or be unavailable at times. The grammar profile is a learning aid based on your answers; it is not a grade or an official assessment and does not replace your teacher's judgement.
3. Accounts
- Everyone needs an account. Give a real e-mail address you can access.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Teachers may only create classes for students they actually teach, and must share join codes only with them.
- Shared demo accounts are for trying the service; their data is reset regularly.
4. Acceptable use
Do not:
- try to access other people's accounts or data, or get around security;
- overload, scrape or disrupt the service;
- send content in feedback or other fields that is offensive, unlawful or contains other people's personal data.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
5. Content
Exercises and explanations belong to MrShipton. You may use them for your own learning and teaching. Your answers remain yours; you give us the right to store and process them to run the service and, in anonymous form, to improve it (see the privacy policy).
6. Schools
When a school uses MrShipton with its classes, the school decides how class data is used and is responsible for informing its students. Schools that need a data processing agreement can contact us.
7. Ending
You can delete your account at any time under Settings (class data is managed by the school). We may change, pause or close the service; if we close it we will try to give notice so you can download your data.
8. Liability
The service is provided free of charge and "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses or for loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
9. Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and important changes are announced in the app. Swedish law applies. Questions: mrshipton@droopy.se.
